Hello! As the official service stations are now on holiday, may be some of the forumites can solve this dilemma: I'have entered my MMSI on the DSC and receive confirmation from the menu that it was OK; after a few days the hanset signals: "MMSI not entered". I repeated the procedure, OK and after a day, again "MMSI not entered" and so on.
Before thinking of a problem in the memory chip, may be there is an undocumented procedure to be sure the MMSi stays in the memory. Or not?
Thanks for any advice.

I'd love to know the answer, as my 240E does exactly the same thing, except after about 3 months.

I have been told that it needs to go back to Raymarine to be fixed, which I will do at the end of the season.

Not an expert on this stuff but I think some kit only retains memory when power is maintained. Does this have an internal battery that is supposed to maintain power when your battery is off? If so and it is duff the info will be lost when you turn power off. Try inputting info then turning power off at main battery. Wait 5 minutes and then turn on again. Is the info still there?

Had the same thing with a standard horizon unit. Let me put it in first time, and then when powered off los the number and had to re-enter, but it wouldn't let me re-enter as you can only enter it once!

Took it back to SH and they replaced the unit for me and programmed my number into it at the factory and tested it before giving it to me

Suggest you call Raymarine
