Missing yacht \"Level 4\"

Don't know if there has been any news in the last couple of hours, but there is a large scale search op. on in the southern North Sea for a missing yacht. Dutch, 9m sloop, white hull, white sails, name "Level 4", left Ijmuiden 0800 on Sat.26th May, due Chatham Marina on Sunday 27th May. No news to date.
Last night out in the Sunk area was truly foul, so I sincerely hope she is safe and sound.

Heard on the news this morning that the yacht had been found still sailing OK, but had been unable to use radio because of elecrtical failure.

I did not take too much notice of the news report which was on the local news on BBC TV this morning because thay said the yacht had been found. I have assumed that it was "Level 4" because they said the crew was Dutch. They gave a position which I think was much closer to Dover or Ramsgate than Chatham.

Don't know when you experienced the bad weather.

I left Calais at 0720 Sunday for Ramsgate and as conditions were so quiet despite the forecast of 7s & 8s continued to Brightlingsea arriving in a calm just before 1900.

When I woke up this morning it was blowing up a bit but nothing showing on UK wind map much over a 5 or 6. As it was from the north they should have had a good sail.

Boat was found after dawn NW of Margate by Sheerness (I think) lifeboat, and escorted to Queenborough. They were OK, just incommunicado. Wind was not particularly strong in these parts, it's only really come up here this afternoon.
