Not the ubiquitous small sailing dinghy, but the kind you look at yourself in.
My current boat came with full length mirrors in the forward cabin. These are not the tradition glass with one side silvered but a kind of veneer or laminate glued onto the locker doors. These have started to tarnish, small pin points of corrosion have appeared, and they seem to bubble up from inside the laminate. The corrosion (or whatever it is) raises the surface of the mirror so that it catches anything you try and clean it with.

Two questions:

What this mirror like material called and where can I buy it from?

I don't look great at the best of times and the thought of seeing myself after a few days cruising - Shudder!

But at home I have one room that has plastic mirrors - don't like them but they were put there for safety at the time. I wonder if this is what you may have? Very safe, but nastily flexible and prone to surfaces lifting. Google plastic mirror and see if that looks likely.
 
Acrylic Mirror Sheet

I didn't by the boat because it has mirrors, especially in the forward cabin, where I might see myself first thing in the morning!

I had intended to replace the mirrors with cherry veneer to match the rest of the boat, but this meet with disapproval from the "better half".

So the compromise is to retain the mirrors on the top of the locker doors and veneer the lower part.

Reading the data sheet for Acrylic Mirror Sheet, it says that seawater can cause corrosion and it's the lower part of the doors which are worst affected (where they are more likely to get splashed with seawater), so the compromise my work.
