Mirror offshore with a well

Halfway there; just needs a fairing plug for when the engine is out; is there a cockpit locker big enough to stow a standard shaft 5 hp ?

Even on the Mirror Offshore the drag of a well and engine might be too much impact on sailing progress, or even the last strawer preventing said progress ?

He's converted the cockpit locker into an outboard well. Leaving the boat with no stowage in the cockpit. This is a pointless modification, what's wrong with an outboard on a transom bracket?
Some mods look well executed - he's replaced the leaky forehatch with a proper one which is good. Not so impressed with the window replacement but my aluminium framed ones have sprung a leak and need attention ( I'm not planning to change them though).
To me, the appeal of this boat is the inboard engine which is rare in a small cruiser which has been removed from this example. You could get something like a GM10 for well less than a grand and restore it to its former glory. Price not bad for a clean example on a trailer but no doubt open to negotiation.

I thought that about the inboard too

pleased as punch with it - kept the boat warm, produced loads of electrical power, reasonably quiet

for the first four years of KTL anyway

- then the engine decided that it had been nice to me for long enough

I seldom sob.... but I did then

long may your engine be good to you

as for an outboard on a bracket on a Mirror Offshore - not for me thanks

tried it

I've seen loads of your vids with The Slug chugging along with the outboard on a bracket. Not ideal, but better than losing the only cockpit locker I think. I've got a bracket on Cobblers on which I will store my little Honda as a backup if sails and Beast let me down.
