Mini-jester

Wahay, Phil.
Just wanted to check in as I'm coming down from Liverpool and have to plan a fair bit in advance. My next deadline is to get the boat in the water next week and away from her usual mud berth as otherwise I'd get neaped and have timing problems. Hence the reason for my enquiry.
Thanks for the PM.
Robin.

Any of those thinking of being in Plymouth on the last week-end of May should bear in mind that the 2013 OSTAR starts then, marinas will be crowded, if not fully booked already, that was the

main reason for the change of date to June 16th. Change of finish to Baltimore was partly because it was felt that the coast from Fastnet to Dingle is particularly unforgiving in heavy weather.

Best Wishes, Nick

Thanks for the heads up, Nick.
I don't follow the OSTAR, or any other race for that matter so that is news to me.
Appreciate the comment.
Regards,
Robin.

The attraction of this trip is clear.
I vote to round the Fastnet Rock and finish in Baltimore.
Same route as the JBCers, different date.
Robin.

So far, my trip has been Liverpool, Beaumaris, Caernarvon, Milford Haven, Fastnet Rock, Baltimore, Tralong Bay, Kinsale and back to Milford Haven where I'm waiting for a gale to pass through. I missed out the Plymouth bit.

Regards
Robin

Just a couple of pics of some of the good handful of Jesters leaving Plymouth towards Baltimore today, Sunday 16 June, in the rain....

Thanks OB for the photos .... my old-pal Leo was duty water-taxi & support-rib .... but he had a major 'foo-par' with his camera.
