Mini Globe Race.

We kinda flit in and out in the background with Jasmins mum on board.

Was great to see the start of this adventure close up!

The motorboat with the Alma sponsors on board was driven by our friend Trevor.

I met up with Adam this morning to come up with a cunning plan to get through the Canaries...hope it works!!

I've got slightly addicted to the 5.80s. I check the tracker several times a day and watch the updates on their youtube channel as soon as they turn up. 😂

First and second are in, 4 hours apart and in just over 22 day.

The only thing that seems to be worrying people is that a few of the boats have cracks in their spreaders close to the mast.

There are some good yacht repair businesses in Antigua that I reckon can help them out. Fingers crossed!

The same issue has reported on other (bigger, twin spreader) Selden rigs - it’s not unique to this class, sadly. Given the downwind nature of this passage it does seem to indicate it might be the mainsails pushing against the spreader tip. Certainly something I will be wary of

Glad to see Jasmine made it.

Still got the two boats sailing down from the USA out there and I have no idea what is happening with the Australian guy who was having all sorts of shipping hassles. Good chance he won't have time to qualify.
