Mindulle and Ting Ting

and we complain about our weather.....two Typhoons in Asia. Ting Ting heading over Japan and Mindulle for Taiwan.

BBC weather just reported that 170 mph winds, and 9 meter sea conditions expected, southeast of Taiwan as Cat 1 typhoon Mindulle heads for Taiwan.

Elsewhere, in places like Nicaragua and New Orleans, 100's of centimeters of rain recorded in one month, most of it today, and several twisters hit.

Winchester Marina

As a Winchester resident, living uphill from the city centre, I've always rather hoped that global warming would add a mooring at the bottom of the garden to my already rather nice house. However, I forsee Christchurch-style navigation problems heading for Southampton, with the tower of St Cross a definite underwater hazard and the M3 mysteriously rising above the surface at MLWS from time to time.

Actually, Winchester is already quite wet, and even the Cathedral has been forced to signal <A target="_blank" HREF=http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/avenue/pd49/places/wells/winch_crypt.html>"I have a diver down below"</A> from time to time.
