mikuni heater

What would you like, PM me for a quote if you like.
I am in the process of choosing a heating system. Having read all the recent threads, I am going for a bulkhead mounted diesel heater and a blown air system. Costs are therefore crucial for me. I only want a small air heater as it will just be used for mornings and immediate post anchoring. I am not planning an eber/web installation, it is down to Propex & Mikuni

Every penny will count so I would be very grateful if you could alert me to any forthcoming Mikuni price rises in the next few months, either by pm or on this thread.

Many thanks

I can report excellent advice and prices from David2452. Purchased a mikuni last year and very pleased with results.

No connection just another satisfied customer.

Possible price increase from Mikuni as usual at Jan 1st but I can't see it being much if at all, main issue at this time of year is inventory, plenty of truck Ebers / Webos around but marine spec can sometimes be an issue. Can't speak for Heatsource (Propex) as I don't fit them, though I have replaced a few with diesel.

Just paid £655 from Kiravans for a campervan. Price was for the Mikuni not the van before some wise guy answers.

I think that is not a Mikuni, but a Chinese copy of the old vehicle spec Webasto AT2000 (2kw not 3.5kw being discussed here), you could have got the latest AT200ST genuine article for £689.99 in vehicle spec.

It certainly looks like a Webasto but works well, dont know for how long, I don,t think it will get a lot of use anyway, Fingers crossed.

I really wouldn't worry, it's based on a proven design and it's the one Chinese heater with proper service and parts back up and imported by a reliable outfit that know what they are doing. But because of the investment required to give that level of service it is not significantly cheaper than the options. Like the AT2000 though, at 2kw it is better suited to a T5 or Transit campervan than a <> 30' boat

Much research for Mikuni MY30 and David2452 came out the cheapest. Have to wait and see what the delivery and support is like but seems to be impressive. No connection

David supplied and fitted a 2nd hand Webasto unit, with new exhaust, for us last year, which has operated reliably, effectively and almost silently.

So I'm, a very satisfied customer, with no hesitation at all in recommending David to others.
