Just curious as I've seen another Sadler 32 in the same boatyard I'm in. The hull and deck mouldings look the same but the keel shape looks like an attempt at a more hydrodynamic one, the skeg and rudder are different and deck hardware is different and in different positions in some cases. I seem to remember a guy called Mike Slack acquired the moulds when Sadler ceased production of the 32.

I found this on't web:

"About 300 Sadler 32s were built over a ten year period from 1979 to 1989. At this time Mike Slack bought the moulds from Sadler and built a further 12 to 14 Sadler 32s on the East Coast. Most of these were supplied as sets of mouldings, although the two or three boats finished by Mike Slack were well built. Current builder in small quantities is Andy Middleton of Poole (ex Sadler employee), who is also building the Sadler 25. Andy is in a position to supply spare parts and small mouldings and can build a completely new boat if required. For contact details, view useful Links on the Home Page."

My guess is that the Slack boats were exactly as drawn by Sadler, however Andy Middleton may have made some changes?
Either way I do recall about 5 years ago (maybe more) there was a very late, almost new, Sadler 32 offered for sale. Don't know what became of it.

I would say this is not a recent boat; I did come across an early build 32 in Pwhelli some years back where the owner had modified the keel to improve racing performance.

I seem to recall a boatyard who specialises in Sadlers, and if I'm not completely mistaken, they offer keel replacements. One of those being a more modern keel. Owners of said brand will surely know.

I think I heard of them being compatible also with the 32.

Probably read it in the owners association newsletter. No idea if anyone took up the offer.

Yes, I believe I have read that somewhere. But our S32 is an M J Slack boat, and the keel is the same as other deep fin examples I have seen.

IIRC the last Andy Middleton boat built - of which I have heard - was a bilge keeler, but I might be mistaken.
