Agreed, they can only fly 50 yards so anchor 60 yards offshore.
Perhaps a Knox anchor, made in Scotland, would be more reassuring than a Rocna??
A CQR surely? - "The original CQR (Clyde Quick Release) anchor designed by mathematician Geoffrey Taylor in 1933. The hinged shank allows the boat to swing without breaking the anchor out, useful when the wind or tide changes. The tip is weighted to assist digging in when setting. Stows neatly on a bow roller. Some cruising sailors in the west coast of Scotland where there is lots of rock, weed and no-see-ums would not choose anything else except maybe the old Fisherman pattern anchor."

I never knew the name was actually an unfortunate TLA... Allows you to get further out quickly if the wind shifts offshore. ?
