I am thinking about moving Blue Elephant (12x4x2metres) from Greece to Brittany over 2 years. I hope to spend July and August back in uk and then continue to southern Spain or Algarve next winter. July and August tend to be very expensive. Does anyone Know of an inexpensive option in or out of the water in Sardinia or southern France

Nice place. I spent a winter there. At the time Max would not do any deals over the summer period. Day rate only. Is there anyone there at present who could have a word with Max or Antinello. They are not renowned for answering emails.

If you can push on a bit to Torrevieja, on the Spaanish mainland, Marina Salinas do a deal for about 3k a year, + vat, for a 12mtr berth, however, you might get a deal for 2 to 3 months, especially if you say your thinking of staying longer.

Thanks all. Will contact del sole and Port Napoleon.

We have spent 2 years at Cagliari in the marina adjacent to del Sole ( Marina de Saint Elmo) better facilities than del Sole and a bit more professional. Downside is they are restrictive and expensive in terms of repairs whereas del sole are more hands on and helpful. Perhaps more social life at del Sole but hope you like dogs!.
We leave in June for Spain.

Ah yes his dogs , say Hi to rosie and Otwin for us if you know them

It's not Sardinia but it's only a day or so away - we left our boat in fiumicino canal be Rome. Max's boat yard. Max speaks English - very friendly. We paid 190 euro per month for our 39 footer for May June and July in 2014. I don't think he charges more in summer (as a yard that's his quiet time). No facilities, but there is power and non potable water. Chandler's a mile away and max can do jobs if needed. Pm me if you're interested and I'll dig out his details.

Hi donheist. I would be grateful if you could give me details of Max's boatyard near Rome. Were you out of the water? was the lifting expensive?
