They weather man told us , we was in for a NW 4 to 5 where did that near 7 come from , 170 miles in 26.5 hours a very interesting sail , at time more interesting then we would had like , although it stop being funny when your trying not to fall of a wave in pitch darkness and at the same time stopping the wind gybing the sail
No where On four weather site and channel 68 did they give 7 . I could had strangle that women on the recording still telling us NW4 become NW 5 as we was roaring off the crest .
Experience tell us you can always expect a 4 to become a 5 or a 5 to become a 6 , but a 4 to 5 to become a 7 , one good side to this we used .02 of a litre of fuel and we did safe one life , Alfie a stray swift who lost his way and spend a few hour cuddled up sleeping under C arm ,
Eddie the ship cat wasn't impressed he had to stay below .
Moral of this story if there are forecasting more then a F 2 stay put and chill .
