Due to the lack of info on the MGRS34 I decided to create a website listing all the boats I can find.
Gathering as much info as I can that may be of interest to owners past, present and in the future.
Hopefully if I can contact some of the owners, past and present I can build up a history about the Class.
Have found a reasonable amount of info so far but now it's getting harder.

If you own. owned or sailed a MGRS34 please let me know any salient details to build up a picture.
If I get a few interested then I'll create a forum, log etc on the site.
Or we could meet on these forums somewhere.

I remember the Smokey Bear crowd and many pints in Lymington after racing. We sailed an MGHS30 Heart of Gold from 1983-86 ish.

Well, we used to race against Street Legal, in a DB2 called Second Luv and an SJ35 called Silver Spirit. All were running backstay rigged IOR 3/4 tonners. Can't think that we were ever bested by the RS34.

Similar interiors (little), similar profiles.

Just saying, that's all.

However the MGRS34 I have now has a masthead rig, no runners.
2 x cozy double qtr berths and 4 x single berths.
When the forepeak is sorted out there's space for a double up there so I can use the space of the two singles in the main cabin.
+ decent size galley, Chart table and heads.
In other words she's not that small........
 
Had a look at your website. One comment: The 1987 Juno admirals cup boat was not a MGRS34. The minimum IOR rating for an AC boat at that time was 30.5 and the Juno used was a one off designed by Rob Humphries.

I think you're correct about 1987 however the original "Juno" according to Rob Humphreys was a MGRS34.
The fact that the one tonner built in 87 used the same name just makes it confusing and caught me out.

A quote direct from the Humphreys website,

"The MG RS34 - the most successful being Michael Peacock’s Juno which was campaigned with the sort of dedication more normally reserved for the grand prix arena. Then as now it is hard with a production boat to get on level terms with a grand prix one-off, but Mike Peacock certainly came close. In Cowes Week in 1984, for example, Juno returned two firsts, one second and one third."
 
I don't question that the original Juno was the MGRS34, but it's a different boat from the admirals cup boat.
The early 80s IOR racing was great because you could get a production boat and be competitive but by '85 you needed a one-off to win the major events.
Great to see to see that you are generating some interest and enthusiasm for them
 
Im looking at purchasing an MGRS34 called Dream Maiden. She is currently ashore at blythe yacht club.
Does anyone know this boat and know if she has been renamed or anything?
