OK, this years extravaganza is well under way. Have taken a while to get sorted as various options, and did some polling of members, and have resorted back to a format similar to last year.
Kim will provide a separate forum to organise like last year.

wwill be in Mercury Marina on Hamble May 8/9 . Mooring fees waived for those attending. £800 being donated by MDL, and paid to Oyster Quay(who did food last time) as contribution towards food costs. We'll need to pay additional food costs if any, and marquee, so I will cost that all up in next day or two, and work out charge per head or per boat

As last year, it will be first come, first served (subject to availability of berths, which may mean small boats jump queue ahead of bigger boats, simply due to fact there are more small berths available than big). Well probably need to cap at about 30-35 boats or 120 people, purely for ability to handle boats, and size of marquee.

Any comments??

Oh aye, I'll go. Only this time I'll be going in my own boat not taking a certain person across.

well he was seen whistling and dancing...

Newton Creek sounds like a good idea - tcm can continue his discussions with the harbourmaster re mooring buoy loadings amongst other party tricks!

Well I would like to attend but would need to set off fairly soon to be certain of getting there on time. Which is difficult as boat is high and dry at the moment.

Suppose I could persuade hlb to leave Plymouth or praps cadge a berth on some unfortunates boat. Mite be able to pay b & b in scallops or lobsters /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

yeah too right! I will have a go at his mooring buoys for a start and when they've been destructively tested I will show him my life membership card, and remind himn of my previous visit so he'll have to pay me.

oho. this sounds intresting . But brendan the heartless git isn't sure if there enough space for us despite us coming 2000 sodding miles specially for the meeting.

<hr width=100% size=1>

now that would be a gas - all raft to one buoy via a single chain and strain guage. Sit tight and wait the 'the visit' - explain that we are not moored for lunch but testing his buoy to destruction!

Put me down. Cheers

Ah but you only need to set off a few days beforehand, couldn't you be completely different and hire a Chinook to fly D2 back and then have her literally dropped into her berth at Mercury
