Re: MDL sponsorship & charity?

Shall we make this a charitable event like last year, and pay a bit over the odds.

Hamble Rescue the lucky charity? Seems reasonable, given that MDL sponsoring us to the tune of £800 and also throwing in free berthings for all attending. Thoughts everyone, what's a reasonable charge per person or per boat, given we have to pay for marquee etc this time.

Ladies, Gentlemen, and other sexed individuals!

24 places taken out of 30+

Just to set expectations, only a few more boats can be accomodated, so from now on in, about 8 more boats can be accomodated, then everyone else is on the waiting list

I'll inquire as to possibility of putting boats into other marinas on Hamble, but we also have a number restriction on Marquee. Getting any bigger will mean taking over car park at marina, which will mean extra negotiation. So for now, take 30+ boats and 120 people as max, and everyone else goes to waiting list!

No kids coming with me. I'm leaving mine at home, just me and the wife.
As far as other kids go. If I recall isn't there someone coming with a sizable boat. Maybe it might be worth putting them all on that for the night. Should keep them all in one place and out from under people feet. What do you think?

If there's room, SWMBO and I would love to attend shoreside shenanigans but no boat

that means I will have to bring the family too I suspect.

this may be somewhat dependant on the outcome of Weymouth 4 weeks earlier!

btw Brendan I suspect Planty will be in next time he logs in

But I'm NOT bringing the kids. They'll be staying with Auntie Sarah. Just me and Lisa. I'm sleeping on the boat, but she tells me shes booking into a hotel. Something to do with a thing called heating and hot water.

Then please include me in (unless participation is dependant on having out-of-date Frey Bentos) /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: Yes but

be warned. I have it on good authority that BrenanS does Pot Noodle. What a Perv. Of course being a Stinkie he's used to frequenting seedy joints.
