Does anyone know much about this engine ??? I guess its 85hp ???

Hi

yes its an 85hp (rated at the crank not prop) it was made between 1973 and 1977, after that mercury began changing their engines names to 70, 80 etc. its 4 cylinder with a gear ratio of 2.3 /1, excellent engines with good torque, gearbox casing is known to rust and ruin the gearbox itself, very expensive to fix, top end is a great engine.
