I am trying to find a parts stockist for the above engine, it seems, that I have broken the fuel shut off valve and need to replace it but I am having trouble finding a parts stockist.

Anybody got any info on where to get parts for mercury engines.

It will be the same I beleive all these small engines are the same but different paintwork.

Have you tried the dock road in Liverpool seem to remember a few swindlers there.

I'll second that. His place is a treasure trove. If he can't lay his hands on something he sometimes makes it. He made a cover clip for my motor.

Needed a new thrust bearing once. Opened loads of drawers -thrust bearings galore! But none just right for the prop I was using. Right he says ( on Saturday) I'll just be 10 minutes. Sound of lathe. Next thing I'm in the back helping while he turns a new one from a piece of stock. . Not only has he got loads of 2nd hand parts-he must have 100's of old engines, but he can actually use the engineering shop in the back. The place is a tip but I've never left there without the thing I came for. Big mail order side now as well. I like the way the bung outboards in a cardboard box and send them off on the royal mail van. Bought my new outboard from him and backup has been excellent.

Tom call my brother Ian at A & D Marine Services he's a Mercury dealer/servicing agent, Les (Tangent) web page
