Hello and welcome - i've never heard of the particualt engine but logic would suggest :-

Overheating on both engines would be a lack of water getting round the cooling circuit - do they take water in from a single point ?? Is there a filter ??? could it be blocked ??

or are they on TOTALLY INDEPENDANT circuits ??

Could be the stacks in the header tanks need rodding out, they do fur up over time which reduces the cooling efficiency. If you've not done it before then you'll need to take the end caps off and find a suitably sized piece of rod and push it through from the outlet side.

However I would check the more obvious first such as the raw water filters and impellors.

Need a bit more info really, altho the answers given so far are good. You say "Both". Are they fed by seperate sea cocks or are they keel cooled. When was the last time the bottom was cleaned. How long you had the boat. Are the props the right ones. Is this something thats occured recently or has it got steadily worse over time.

Bit more info and you'll get a cleare answer, Oh and welcome to the forum.......its a madhouse.

In very broad terms I would look at anything that is common to both engines as the most likely cause, next at anything that is likely to degrade at the same rate, intakes furring up etc. Have you checked the stats (I presume there are two?) on my single merc I had one that was stuck part open, so it ran slightly cool on tickover and overheated at about 2.5k

Good Luck
