Hi .. wonder if anyone can help ..
4.2 mercruiser diesels ... has a small problem with the turbo no kicking in but it seemed to have cleared ..
Then on way to Brighton lost power in the engine .. left it for a bit and then it would run good again , only to die
Checked the filter , full of bug .. cleared it all out and but it’s still cutting out ... help !!!

You need to clean your tanks before you need new injection pump and injectors .

clean diesel company can sort this for you .

Thanks Paul ... he can come .. on the 30th haha
Does it sit in the bottom of the tank ?? As in if and I know it’s a if I cut my fuel pipe down so it reaches 3/4 down and does not suck all it in .?
if i can limp home the pressures off

The bug lives between the interface between the fuel and water In your tank. As a treat (not treatment) for them you can also put in up to 5% bio which occurs in many diesel brands.
Diesel is lighter than water so water will settle at the bottom of the tank.
It will slosh around when underway so a huge risk of engine failure if you try and take fuel from a different level.

Thanks ...
I have always treated the tank so I’m thinking the sludge is the broken up bug

will get the tanks cleaned when or if I get home .....
