As James TT has already said I went down to Abber Menia this weekend, had a little problem finding where to put the anchor as some speed merchant had gone charging passed at some God forsaken speed and aerated the water. I dont know about anybody else but my Depth sounder dosent like aerated water and goes blank!!! JTT I'll get you for that!

Anyway, a voice shouts over Hi I'm James TT of the forum.......
Hmmmm!
Hi hows tricks,
Good but it's a bit windy here.
Dont worry I'll put plenty of Chain down! and at that he went roaring off!

He was right it was a little windy but it died off about 20.00hrs so we had something to eat and a couple of drinks and went off to bed in a flat calm sea.

Bugger was it cold during the night but the next morning offered this view.....

A friend who also dropped anchor and stayed over came this morning to take the Sea Faring Whippet Attack dogs for the morning constitutionals, .... I Like friends like that when it's cold!

It was a great weekend even though the wind still has a chill in it, but lets hope that we get more of this through the rest of the year!

You up and down that little bit of water, like a wet fart. I radio'd you just after you answered a radio check to the CG When you passed Conarvon. Radio check!! Yours is blank, well probably tuned to radio one or whatever.

great pictures Tom and nice dogs (although how do you relax at night with such savage dogs in your boat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

Is your friend a Skye man, or just has his boat reg. there?

Tom

Great pictures, making me home sick. I have been stuck in dubai since last october with work and wont be back to conwy until the beginning of June. (hopefully)

Keep on posting the photos, please.

Cheers

Tony

If it's always that calm & sunny then we are DEFINITELY coming down (as philiz & kawasaki have been trying to persuade us to do for weeks)! Er - it IS always that still & sunny on the Straits, isn't it?

At 6pm on Saturday evening it really was very breezy there, the sea was spraying over the side of our boat.
Tom must have known something that we didn't as you can see, it became calm within two hours and idyllic in the early morning as we left Victoria Dock opposite, wish we had stayed on the hook now!

JTT... Tom must have known something that we didn't as you can see

I have to Fess up to being a ahemm.... sailor in the past and therefore listen to the weather man /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif sometimes I belive what he tells me... but not often!

Hydn... have you ever thought that it's Mucky Farters radio thats faulty!

Lawsey... it IS always that still & sunny on the Straits, Of course it is ... come on in the waters fine.

Hey Tom

Great pictures - I really wish we were there... Making me feel desperate to get my hands on a boat for the summer.

Please stop publishing them!

You have to put batteries in before they work..... it's only your wind up toys that work without! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

May be in Conwy on Saturday night........ thats if Kwacker gets his bloody finger out and organises it! Wont be in the marina though........ weeeellllll just maybe if K pays! I prefer the moorings in the river under the Castle!
