Medway to Oxford?

A couple of boats from Hoo Ness YC on the Medway did this trip, my Contessa 26 and a Telstar trimaran, obviously with the masts off.

Thanks Tony, I'm reading through this now. "Orca" is a new HNYC boat (She will be replacing Jessica!) Hopefully I'll be dragging over to the club once there's a spare spot whilst we fit out.

So how far would people suggest is a good distance for a two week trip like this?

I guess that depends on how much time you like to spend cruising and how much time you like to spend [looking around the places you pass through/propping up the bar] (delete as appropriate)

Might be able to do it round the M25 next week.............................................

We can normally get to around Sonning in 5/6 days or so after arriving at Teddington.Must admit to preferring a reasonable early start and then spend the day cruising at a snails pace until mid afternoon.Not really a moor in one spot for days bloke....dead blimming boring...like to get a move on.
Find if you keep on the go its makes it more difficult for the denizens of the Themes to find you.

Just as guide if you crusied all day Teddington to Oxford can be done in 3days, but this could easily become 4-5days if there are queues at locks etc... so if you want to take a reasonably leisurely time you will need a week on the Non-tidal bit + 1 day for the tidal so I would allow 16days there and back.
