A friend of mine in Duquesa has sold his aging 57ft fly motor yacht which he lived aboard, and board a 30ft sailing cat. He had a skipper bring it from east UK to northern Spain where he joined the boat with his little dog. I think its the right decision as it is plenty big enough for him and the dog and can be sailed single handed unlike the big flybridge.

Plus I believe the total motoring fuel for the whole trip cost about 150 euro.

See on the video how it handles a 3-4m following waves in the atlantic surfing up to 18knots Great little boat. PS its 1994 cat

Simon and Harvey are great. Had the pleasure of mooring next to them for a whole week last week. Definitely making a nice Job of the Cat, with some serious engineeruing of the SS Radar Arch.

Those Catalacs were well built!

Did you mention you knew me Paul? didnt realise you were in Duquesa

I said Hello one day...I had popped up from the dungeon and saw you on the T46 with Simon and said Hi. Unfortunately having a 7 month old, a 7 year old and a 14yr old meant very little me time. You did buzz us in Renegade Master a few times!

I was on the Beneteau 43ft Sailing Yacht (theFat Bird with the 14.6ft Beam!) Anteo of Hamble. I had a quality Passerelle.......a Scafolding Plank. Will be back for a few weekends later this year.
