Re building head assy.on the MD11C. I think this is one for vic. On the valve guides only of the inlet valve there is a rubber seal. The sevice kit supplies four of the seals do i need to fit them also to the exhaust valves as well as the inlet valves. Also the injectors go into the housing about a inch then go very tight should i just tap this home very carefully.

It is only the inlet valves that have seals, at least according to both the parts list and the w/s manual. . The inlet and exhaust valve guides are different so it is probably not possible to fit seals to the exhaust valve anyway. It is so long since we did any work on this engine that a lot of the detail is getting a bit hazy now.

I do not remember any problem fitting the injectors but we fitted new heads complete on one occasion, maybe they had new injectors already fitted. One would have been damaged anyway so would have had to be replaced . On subsequent strip downs we did not remove the injectors from the heads.

Thank you vic. I was confused as they supplied four seals in the kit. and only two were fitted to the two inlet valves. The injectors i will just have to be very carefull when fitting. sorry for the delay just got back from the pub.
