OK guys there no way I'm paying £45 for a bit of foam.

Check the engine to night and found bits of foam under it , so I removed the back panel to get to the air filter and found its almost fell apart,
There not much left,
What is left I'm probably better off removing before it get sucked into the engine.
So what do people replace it with , surely not the original part at that price which will, probably just about last a season.

Mine lasted about 3500 hours running and 7 years. Does not make much difference with filtration or nose, but I just replaced it anyway, although it was a bit less in those days. Lucky you don't have a D1 30 as that is a sealed canister about 5 times the price - but really does not need changing in a yacht as the atmosphere is very clean.

I did have the D2 which I just cut open and in side was the filter as a cooker exterior fan replaced it with one for a few pounds .
Better run it withouta filter till I found some thing , then leaving the broken spong to get suck in
