Re: Call the Fashion Police!

Blue checked shirt? Purple tie with spots? Travelling on public transport? Surely no MBY reader would perpetrate such a shocking collection of crimes?

I'm amazed HLB didn't think of it first!

Just think :-

1) volume sale ( have to order at least 4 in case of stains)
2) High Price -= High Margin ( cos all Lundunners filthy rich)

and next week he can work on the matching cufflinks

Call the Fashion Police!

No......that's an Italian perspective .Real reasons are

1) Fashion sense proves he's obviously not married (clear signal to all single women) and

2) A Scot ( high propensity to saving money and also so 'hungover' couldn't possibly jump in car this morning)..

Now you know why Sherlock Holmes was a Brit

Re: A rebuttal

Not so fast, Watson. If he was travelling north on the Northern line from Waterloo this morning, it would appear that he probably arrived at Waterloo from the Home Counties by overland and was heading for his place of work. Not even the MBY staff are stupid enough to try and get from Waterloo to KRT by tube.

Besides, you should know that the MBY team don't have a tie between them...they have to order a rental from Divisional Services if the occasion demands.

Re: Il s\'accuse!

TCM - He has a point.

Some other clues as to why not one of them.

a) This bloke obviously found the articles he was reading interesting
b) He awsn't using a ruler underneath the typing
c) he didn't once have to resort to a dictionary and
d) He wasn't just looking at pictures (as far as I could tell)

Hecould also have come from further South on Northern line

Re: Tossa de Mar

He must have looking at it for fashion ideas.

Unfortunately, I failed to anchor at "Tossa de Mar" for much-prized t-shirts bearing the name of this interestingly-named resort on the costa brava. And the windy weather also prevented us from visiting Colera and Peniscola...

This magazine the bloke was reading ,can you buy it anywhere and I thought ties were for keeping your 3rd best trousers from falling down round your ankles.

Just hold tight dear it will not be so rough when we get round the corner, trust me.

As to the magazine, I guess it's one of these free giveaways you get around town. Not much decent narrative anyways...all about big boats noone wants with flybridges and things like ladders.

Ties are very useful. Temporary anchor chain (in bath), warp extension kit, cushion covers, control lever warmers, teak dusters... a zillion uses on the boat AND cheaper from Pierre Cardin than your local chandelry.

Only own 1 pr troosers , so wouldn't know.
