1.Is the liferaft on board the Fairline Corniche on the cover not in a very strange and vunerable position?
2.Delphinia of London is superbly fitted out with every extra including a tropical fish tank.I was under the impression believe it or not that fish actually get seasick when on board as the water sloshes around in the tank. Can anyone shed some light?

Re.fish: some marine tanks have subtantial wave-makers to mimic reef conditions.....movement in a tank would be different from that, but they might be ok?.

Dunno about freshwater ones though....but plenty of those are from fast flowing areas where the water must swirl around & up & down. Some of ours actively seek out the water return to the tank, even though they can barely swim against it.

'superbly fitted out'...?

Whilst I acknowledge that the chap behind it has clearly devoted enormous resources to achieving his goal, I would respectfully point out that the wiring in the engine room is a disgrace and I doubt very much whether it complies with any international standards. It represents a serious safety and/or fire hazard...

I would not set foot on that boat, nor stand for having it on my pontoon...

a bit unfair. The wiring did look like it needed a tidy up but I see nought which would have looked hazardous. give the bloke a bit of slack. it took serious guts to take on that project. I say congratulations to him.

I do admire the guy in a way however I can think of better ways to spend 11 years of my life, like actually getting on the water. And given the end cost and the time taken was it really that economical ?
Also how viable is the charter idea. Would you want to charter a boat that is in effect a home build however professionally done or not, and made up of old council flats etc ?
Now dont get me wrong each to there own, I am not condeming the chap merely voicing an opinion.

Ian
