Re: Ooooh attention Coliholic

Had Mirage 11 years.Great boat for accomodation,with or without kids.
Used her both in Bristol Channel,rivers Avon,Severn and Avon to Stratford and also K&A canal.Coped with all well handling tight manouvering on canal as well as speed and waves at sea.
Reason we sold her was with boat that size we obviously had to base her at permanent moorings,so on either weekends or holidays she had to be back at base at end of cruising time.Considered moving her to other marina on different waters but decided extra travelling time in car and leaving all friends behind permanently not an option.
With new boat we can have different crusing grounds within hours and without haulage costs.{£350 for one way journey to Thames with Mirage without cranage as well. when we tok her up their on brokerage}
This year alone with boat have already been to Thames for easter,{seen old Mirage,no regrets!!!}then to Penarth near Cardiff,also local river Avon.Plans for Jubilee bank holiday to Solent and summer hols in Western Isles of Scotland.
Just finding greater flexibility of cruising far out weighs smaller boat size.
