Mayland boats

Hi to you, the fountain of all knowledge! I have aquired a Mayland 18 ft sailing boat, 2 berth with a sea toilet! I have been trying to find out a little bit more about this boat but have so far drawn a blank.( I did note there was a thread way back in 2006 on Maylands but that seemed to peeter out.
I'd be grateful if anyone can give me any information as to it's likely age and sailing characteristics.
