I just realised we've renewed the cockpit teak to match the dog!

He [or she?] seems to approve, judging by the grin.

It would match even better if you painted some black lines on the dog.

We had panels made, removed all the old wood, repaired the GRP then stuck down the new wood and finished it off.
When I say we, SWMBO did most of the skilled work.

Look gorgeous. The wood that is.

Were you replacing the teak? I only ask cos we've grp seats in our cockpit with a knobbly non-slip finish which is very is worn. I'd love to cover the lot in teak.

Is the wood set into the surface or fixed on top? Is it glued or screwed? How thick is it?

I can think of 2 immediate problems. Firstly our seats have a curved top. Second the hinges on the locker would have to be moved to cope with the thickness. Oh, and I haven't got any money!
