Can any of you experts out there tell me why, despite being able to use both these cards in the shops across Scandanavia, Car Park machines routinely refuse them - despite claiming to take them.

What have car parks got against my Mastercard? Is it some secret device to prevent foreigners from parking?

I use both VISA and MC frequently in car parks in Sweden (don't know if you refer to the company Car Park or just any old carpark...) without problems. Maybe it's because you're a foreigner? I thought we liked foreigners...
