Anyone know who sells the mast ladders that slide up the mast track but that are fitted with rungs? All the ones I have seen advertised have stirrups but I know the others exist because two people at my club have them.... Yes I can borrow one but I haven't checked that their sliders will fit my track and it would nice to have one on board.

One of the options is the "MASTEP" mast climbing ladder. It does not use the mast track with the advantage that you can pull it up either side of the mast, if say your luff track is unavailable. It does have fixed rungs and is secured at the base and winched as tight as you can make it, you climb the rungs with your hands around the mast.

I made it for some years but production is now in the hands of Morton Boats, call Paul Richards 01522 868689 for some details. Also available is a household emergency escape ladder on the same principle and the "Le Step" boarding ladder.

Your local chandler I think can buy it through XM.
