The plastic haliard exits (plastic) are broken up, possibly UV damage as the boat is 1988 (Jeanneau Sun Legende 41) and they are no doubt original.

I can see metal options on line, or should I get plastic again. They have a pop rivet to hold in place.

I've just fitted a new exit plate to our boom (the outhaul line comes out on one side). I used a stainless steel one from Allan. I didn't think about a plastic one. The paste to stop galvanic corrosion was messy, so that'll be a plus for plastic providing it's sufficiently durable.

Thanks, I forgot about the galvanic issue, no doubt why the existing ones are plastic
