Marooned

Tom who?:D

Out of sight, out of mind.

Anyway, it's Haydn's thread - he started it.

Haydn, I would stay well clear of the N coast in Northerlies, what with the Skerries, Old harry rocks, East, Middle & West Mices et al and the only two places for shelter are Holyhead & Amlwch.

Should be nice if it goes westerly, you can take yer pick of the Brickworks (porth Wen), Camaes or where ever. Mole Free & Red Dwarf will be fine too, but Red Dwarf does dry out of course.

You forget MF has 400 HP to keep her out of trouble. We can always go the long way round. It's not about the journey, MF can cope with that. It's about parking. Your suggestions are good and what I was thinking.

I'm not really bothered I just want it warm.

I'm sick of all these sunshine posts. We're marooned in Holyhead, at 3pm we put the heating on and it's blowing a gale.

I thought you knew summer coms later 'OpNorth' when you left the west country. The further south you go the better and the earlier the summer arrives. If you can cross the equator the summer will arrive while we are in winter with the Solent still full of nutters.

I know this isn't much help in Holyhead but at least you know there is hope and warmer weather somewhere.

Glad Tom's ok and the Fred Dwift's under control as always.

Has my heater flattened my batteries?

When will we need driving licenses?

Is it ok to drink and drive me boat? hic

And don't forget some ColRegs on return from Dublin... Will Tom be 'stand on' vessel or standing on his vessel?

In the Holyhead summer, why not get down t'shops, new range of sowesters just in. ;)

Glad to see you've not lost your sense of humour up there. It's our turn for the sh!t weather this weekend until Monday at least. :(

You are all hard uncaring people.

I worried all day about the safety of Little Ship's beverage box.

I fear that Mick will be sampling it today....well, the cranberry juice, but I understand that Tom has another friend over there who may like something a bit more robust.

Power is not much help once you get into a wind over tide situation in some of those races, but I take your point that you can happily go 10 miles off & avoid all that poo. A detour like that would take me all day!

You want warm? Switch the Eber on then, or wait 'till Tom returns & you can break a few splinters off the evidence from his Irish adventures & burn them. It keeps you warm & tidies up Little Ship - can't be bad.
