News just posted on the DBA forum, the Marne-Saone canal (Canal Entre Champagne et Bourgogne) has finally succumbed to the mid-France water shortage and will close on Sunday 15th. Last boats into the canal at either end by the 11th.
Especially bad news because this section of the eastern route between Paris and the Saone is normally ok even when others are not.
The western routes (Loire and Burgundy Canal) closed some weeks ago.
For the time-being it won't be possible to make the north-south passage Channel-Med.
