my boat was sold originally 24 years ago with Marlow ropes. After all this years, this ropes have given good service and all of them are still in use.
Its time to replace them now. There is no Marlow stockist in Switzerland.

The sheets have always been very soft and are still soft, they show just some wear.

Is the quality of todays Marlow (not the high tech stuff) still the same as 24 years ago ? Is it worth the effort to import them ? Or are now all the manufacturers using the same (bad) quality, bristle after 2 years? I hate Liros and all the other brand names, the reefing line for the roller is as rigid as a wooden stick.

Funny you should mention that. Most of the halyards on my boat are Marlow and are at least 22 years old, as they were on the boat when I bought her.

I have been unimpressed by some other stuff that is rather younger.

I have just been sent a couple of codes for Marinestore chandlers (15% of Marlow ropes and then at least another 15% as they have a sale on) The codes are ML101 when you order the rope and then ESNE when you come to complete the order. PM me if you have problems.
