Re: Magnum RIP

That is a real shock and very sad. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Mark's family and I would wholly echo John's words that he was a much loved contributor to these fora and to things generally.

Re: Magnum RIP

Terrible news. The forums shared the growth in his passion for sailing and motorboats, and his voyages through the reefs of ownership and passage making. His delight in his wife, and new daughter, in the pictures on the new boat was fully evident, and for them I pray for comfort and that we all share their loss.

Re: Magnum RIP

I read this in the mallorca news but I did not know it was a member in here. How tragic.

I confess that I looked at the price of defibrillators after I read it being 52 myself.

We were going to meet in Mallorca in November with PAN but his flight from Jersey was cancelled.

Condolences.

I’m shocked. That’s awful news, he was excellent company and he and his lovely wife Claire welcomed me on board at least 2 of his many boats. My sincere condolences to all his family.

Re: Magnum RIP

Indeed this is desperately sad. Condolences to Mark's wife Claire and Mark's 3 children. I've swapped messages with Claire and while she is a strong person she is devastated by this. The funeral is in Jersey immediately after Easter weekend.

Re: Magnum RIP

I never knew him but I enjoyed reading his posts and blog. My condolences to his wife and infant daughter. So sad

Re: Magnum RIP

This is shocking and very sad news.

My wife and I spent time with Mark and Claire including a lovely weekend at their home when they lived in Devon. We have very happy memories of meeting up with them in Mallorca.

Our thoughts are with Claire, his sons and his lovely little Emma.

He loved his boats and I was looking forward to hearing about his latest purchase over the coming months.

I don’t have any contact details for Claire other than the forum so can anyone who is in touch send our condolences to Claire and his family.

RIP Mark, it was a pleasure knowing you, Fair winds.
