What happens when reponsibility is contested and ships of different nationalities are concerned?

The French are not slow in arresting vessels which pose a potential threat.

based largely on the British Marine Insurance Act of 1906? seems maritime law is a mess .... i do not know ...

Maritime 3rd party insurance cover

Most underwriters seem to consider that £3 million is just adequate. Certainly that's what my cover is
