Give me strength.WOT a Dot ??.
Was the 'carpenter' an experienced boat builder or just some jobbing carpenter? If the former, he has no excuse. If the latter, he might claim that he had no reason to suppose that what was sold as 'marine ply' wasn't fit for the purpose intended
I'm not sure why you went to Jewson for a refund if you did not buy the ply yourself (or direct the joiner to buy specific ply there).
You may have weakened your case for a refund of labour or making good FOC.
Hope it works o

Did a project some years ago and the 'marine ply' did the same. Appeared to have been glued with flour and water paste! Was told then it had been Chinese stuff, but hell of a game redoing the whole job. Probably legally the chippies problem but seems a bit unfair to me.
I doubt very much Jewsons sell marine ply. They might offer WBP but that shouldn't delaminate either.

They do and I have used it without any probs, though only inside. However it is not BS1088 ........
I
How can it be classified as a marine ply if it does not conform to BS1088?
Timber Trade Federation circular on marine ply http://www.ttf.co.uk/Article/Detail.aspx?ArticleUid=c381892b-7bbf-42fe-b805-d26bc04a1e8f
I left a dry intact off cut in the rain earlier, its falling apart already. I despair, this will set my project back weeks, and my yard fees will quadruple.
Like the yacht varnish that says 'not suitable for external use'.
A local timber yard sells "Exterior" wbp plywood if it gets wet it will last outside approx one day before it delaminates. I have seen so called Marine ply that is little better. Most of this stuff comes from China or other far eastern countries.
I wont use it anywhere near a boat.
