Marine Engineer Spalding Area River Welland: Recommendations Please

Evening All

I am on the hard at Fosdyke by The Welland awaiting relaunch after a couple of years' break... but my nearly new Yanmar 3GM30 appears to have low compression on one cylinder, and I don't want to risk launching into a fast river on two cylinders. Can anyone recommend a good marine engineer in the South Lincs area who may be able to help? many thanks in advance.

Surely you can ask David Parkinson. Actually it's an ordinary engine that any competent mechanic could fix. You are wise not to let loose until the tide is slack at high water.
