Had this for years, been ultra reliable and the price has gradually come down too.

Don't know about a signal booster but we use a dongle with a permanently mounted external area (aerial +- £70 of I recall). Seems to work almost anywhere.I tend to use my mobile and set it up as a local hotspot for WiFi to run my other devices off, but the signal where we moor can be weak at times - dropping to one or two bars.
I'm thinking of fitting a mobile signal booster but I have no idea how good they are or even if they work. Has anyone tried this and if so were the results good enough to be worth the bother?
For the last 6 years or so we‘ve been using an iPhone as a hotspot for internet connection in Europe and UK. Occasionally the signal isn’t workable but it’s a day or two over a summer away. Hoisting it up the mast does occasionally results in a better signal but one or two bars on the phone is usually enough to support internet browsing including zoom calls and the like.
We use a bag and usb extension cable when we need to gain a bit of height But most of the time the phone sits on the chart table.
Try hoisting it up the mast or to the spreaders first - I have found this makes all the difference in some locations.I tend to use my mobile and set it up as a local hotspot for WiFi to run my other devices off, but the signal where we moor can be weak at times - dropping to one or two bars.
