Marina WiFi - anyone tried Square Mile?

Thanks Paul, I'll give it a try - they have it at Ardrossan. Great idea! I can now sit on my jaxie on the boat and write rubbish.

I got it at Stella del Sud Vibo Valentia South Italy . Unfortunatley they put me at the end of the pontoon so I was out of range of the last transmitter . dash , dash and grollocks.

However I think it was a sly ploy by Angie to make me sit at the bar and play with my toy while I quaffed several litres of beer all for the privilege of reading and deleting oodles of SPAM and other junk

I have used it in three marinas and the speed is great with no connection problems.

Signed up at SIBS but then realised that free offer finishes next march! As I was told their marinas are all around the Solent area I am unlikely to have my boat down that way until at least next spring/summer. I keep my boat on the Medway! oh well such is life!

Have tried regularly with square mile and know that in some marinas, as reported here, it has worked really well. Never succeeded in getting a good connection in brighton though! See if anyone else around you is using it and what their experience is ...
