Marina Water Hoses! no more of them!

Surely marinas could just include in their t&c that water / hoses are used at own risk .
The bloody lawyers have taken over the asylum :ambivalence:

Just received an email from Premier Chichester informing me of their intentions to remove the pontoon hoses by 13th May. The ones that have been there for years, and not been a problem.

A complete PITA.

You must be on their 'special' list cos I haven't got one yet.

Next stop ebay to find a decent retractable hose

Windermere Marina removed their hoses towards the end of last year too. Something to do with the British Marine Federation recommendations!

Liability for a dodgy belly for those that dont take care of their water should be down to the person filling up...but we dont live in that kind of world anymore. The lawyers and insurance companies have decided that its always someone elses fault

At cobbs, I complained about the hoses- it left blue marks all over it when I cleaned the boat- they replaced it within a couple of days, thank goodness for intelligent management.

Looks like it's going to happen at Premier Marinas. They insist it is not their decision, but foisted on them by local councils H&S mob. Cheap enough to buy one a Homebase.
