I have no sympathy. It costs me almost that much to moor my 21footer.... for 6 months.

Marinas are expensive, yes, but there's no way on earth the price is going to go down just by having a moan about it. The only way you're going to reduce the price is by getting a big group of you to leave, or at least threaten too, and for the marina to be unsure whether they can fill the space again.
Still, from what I've heard about the med, blighty is still quite cheap, no?

oh did I mention we pay £550/annum for a Rival 38 on swinger. In this day and age you could buy a car for less than the price of keeping said craft in a marina around here (circa £8k/annum) .....

I pay 3500 euros per year for 15m-18m for a pontoon berth in front of a restaurant in the town centre.

Beneteau Oceanis 400, £3400 in Orwell Marina, East Coast...
I think £2958 is quite steep for a 32'er in Aberystwyth.... cheap compared to Solent, but where isn't....

£1400 for a 35 footer in Cardiff bay.
Cant understand the Aberystwyth price. Lovely scenery inland of there but it really is a long way from anywhere. Its quicker for me to drive to London than to Aber, and thats from S Wales.

I think this is what the owners haven't twigged to - that if you live in the Midlands you can get to North or South Wales just as quickly if not quicker than Aberystwyth.
Where there are cheaper moorings are available!
