Nowt to do wiv me Squire.....
True, you scarpered before we had time to break open the stores. It has to be admitted that I probably did most of the damage myself
An error to be rectified soon I hope.
Everywhere we went, almost, was going to have free wifi, always "later this year", including Ramsgate, Brighton and a few others. I got the feeling that I might get the same answer next year too.
The OP is looking forward to some free parking in the Netherlands. He likes the word 'free'.
Was drawing 1.2 now up to 1.1!There are a lot of free places to stop in the Netherlands.....even if you don't have a lifting keel (although some are out of bounds if you draw more that 1.5m).
Happy to discuss if required.
Have you been outside yet today Jim![]()
He was - he took the tram to Ostend :encouragement:
We got what we went for - an inner tube for my bike, and a CF card reader for my 'broken' Navionics card. See my new post re Navionics.

Hmmm
First places to try are the various islands and pontoons in the Veersemeer especially west of the canal from Middelburg. Also there are several stopping points near locks you can overnight at.
We have also visited interesting towns in the daytime without having to pay for several hours - eg Veere towards the western end of the pontoon just East of the entrance.
The Gravelingenmeer has a lot of islands but you are supposed to buy a pass (€20 for a week?) to stop there. Sometimes you don't get asked.....
There are moorings in several of the inland areas - near Tiengemeten in the Haringvliet for example.
To be honest, even whn having to actually pay to moor overnight, we found Holland to be very good value this summer (and last). We tend to get charged for 14M or 15M (depending on whether they spot the bowsprit) and we paid between €21 and €27 for a night, the cheaper pricing tending to be without electricity (but not always), which can add a euro or two for 24 hours for us).
Middelburg, Veere ( go up the Tr) Goes, Zeirekzee, The Gravelingen ( first club on the port side through the lock, nearer the town, free power pay for water). then try the Ossehoek island if the weather is niceAll, not bothered about paying, that is MoodySabre being naughty. However, I do like the idea of parking in the high street, just for laughs. Having said that, we are self sufficient for several days at a time....
