Marina Prices on Tour..... for FC at 35ft.

Further north, on a friends boat - Belfast harbour marina, 11m boat, £16 a night, excellent showers, free electricity but no wifi. And the locals were friendly. Convenience store nearby. No staff, pay at the machine to get access gate code.
Further north at Glenarm, again v friendly, fuel at commercial rates(but no hose on pontoon, only in cans, harbour master lent us two)

An error to be rectified soon I hope.

It would be a delight and a pleasure ti entertain your good selves aboard the good ship Erbas

Sadly I must report that the untimely demise of George Tiller Pilot has posed something of a dilemma in the commissary as the purser has declared the bullion chest out of bounds for non essential purchases. I have yet to convince her that replacing the best scotch whisky is an essential purchase

Beer is permitted in modest quantities however I an relieved to report

Everywhere we went, almost, was going to have free wifi, always "later this year", including Ramsgate, Brighton and a few others. I got the feeling that I might get the same answer next year too.

Brighton's free wifi is up and running, and is very good. It's limited to 4 hours' use per day, and you have to remember to actually disconnect, or the clock keeps ticking.

Was drawing 1.2 now up to 1.1!

Hmmm
First places to try are the various islands and pontoons in the Veersemeer especially west of the canal from Middelburg. Also there are several stopping points near locks you can overnight at.
We have also visited interesting towns in the daytime without having to pay for several hours - eg Veere towards the western end of the pontoon just East of the entrance.
The Gravelingenmeer has a lot of islands but you are supposed to buy a pass (€20 for a week?) to stop there. Sometimes you don't get asked.....
There are moorings in several of the inland areas - near Tiengemeten in the Haringvliet for example.
To be honest, even whn having to actually pay to moor overnight, we found Holland to be very good value this summer (and last). We tend to get charged for 14M or 15M (depending on whether they spot the bowsprit) and we paid between €21 and €27 for a night, the cheaper pricing tending to be without electricity (but not always), which can add a euro or two for 24 hours for us).

All, not bothered about paying, that is MoodySabre being naughty. However, I do like the idea of parking in the high street, just for laughs. Having said that, we are self sufficient for several days at a time....

Middelburg, Veere ( go up the Tr) Goes, Zeirekzee, The Gravelingen ( first club on the port side through the lock, nearer the town, free power pay for water). then try the Ossehoek island if the weather is nice
