dishwasher grease???

ermm not to sure where that comes from? all dishwashers have a non return valve fitted as standard.

As I said earlier the easy way to comply with water regs is to have a tank, then the outlets are disconected from the mains.

Oh & if not already pumped a pressure pump set & vessel will be needed unless the tank is say 20 to 30 meters up.

Lets see what transpires, as we know all sorts of things can come out of the wash. I suspect that we will find a way to work with the regulations.

Re: dishwasher grease???

having owned and run a restaurant for 12 yrs (recently sold and bought boat) and having bought and fitted 2 classic commercial dish washers in that time, i know they dont come fitted with non return valves as std, i know that the water companies get bent out of shape about them, i know that the catering trade press continually banged on about not connecting them direct to the mains because of the fact that water companies are concerned about back feeding.
so, i have presented to the forum the probable reason why welsh water is being used as the reason why hafan pwllheli is removing the hoses from the pontoons. if they dont supply they cant be blamed.

Same thing happened in Conwy marina last year and new marina in Deganwy does not supply hoses. Must be a Welsh thing (you know how touchy we are about we are about supplying water to the English!!)

I haven't had my letter yet which doesn't make sense because david_e comes before extravert - could it be lost in the post?

Seriously, is the net result that we have to supply our own hose with an NRV?
