Anyone wintered their boat there and can give me their views on the place?

Maria’s Yard.
Maria’s Boatyard, North end of Vliho Bay, relatively well sheltered from the North but wide open to South Westerly Gales we have a few of these over the winter months, one memorable storm reached force eleven and did considerable damage last January.
You will find no frills at Maria’s or Steno boatyard, hauling out is done by sled and cable and your boat will be propped up on the hard using timber props and oil drums, there is electricity and fresh water, but there is no security as such, however cases of theft or pilfering are unusual.
There is a small chandler store where you can obtain most things needed to maintain your boat and plenty of people willing to work on your boat, but a word of advise get recommendations before employing .
The main attraction of the yards around the area are the charges around a thousand euros for a forty foot boat is not at all bad if compared with price charged at Lefkada Marina , just don’t expect hot showers and coffee bars.

fair comment.the last big eathquake caused a few problems. the domino effect was evident.
