Marconi SC from a drone.

Yeah but there is less water in the Spitway than over Priory Spit.

Proper way (IMHO) is the Wallet (proper Wallet twix No 3 and No 5), leave the Knoll NCB to port (but not by a lot), hold your breath 4751 at low water and leave the Eagle to starboard (but not by a lot), NW Knoll to port and full steam ahead in oudles of water into the Blackwater. Simples.

Just occurs to me that I have never ever left the Knoll ECB on the right side. I decided my objective for today is to sail through the Knoll Swatchway at low water not using GPS. Why? I have no idea!

Steady, you could be describing me - well except that we don't roll much downwind. Made a right pig's ear though of flying the Cruising Chute. You always get unsaid feedback when the yacht to port turns dramatically away to port to get clear of you ...... and at the same time ...... the yacht to starboard turns away dramatically to starboard ...... to get clear of you. I wouldn't say we were out of control but it may have looked like it for a while!

Its always tempting to turn into Harwich too early :o

Agreed, I have been nearly caught out there, thank good for depth alarms. :o This year the area was heavily infested with the dreaded pots, about half clearly visible and the others in "stealth mode". They are obviously out to get us.
