Yes - very tempting isn't it. I wish I were a bit closer - although I keep my boat very close by it is hard to participate in a club when you a 100 miles away

@anniebray could you post some photos please of your new mooring barge?
I remember the submersible travel lift for launching and recovering boats, which had (also) been 'home built' by members in the 80's - is it (or an improved successor perhaps) still going strong?

Marchwood is one of our favourite stops, although I was Mate on a boat once when we pulled up on a stonkingly hot, windless day, had a great Sunday BBQ lunch, and were tucking in to Apple Pie, when the club steward came to remind us we'd left the main up in our haste to get to the bar.
