its a little odd owning a boat and trying to get information .
I am buying a 1992 Four Winns 235 vista with the king cobra 5.8 omc engine in it
ill be dammed if I can find a proper service manual for it .
the guy who is selling it has sent me pics today of it running like a dream , but he has sucked up the crap out of the tank and now won't run properly , im assuming a Holley carb of some ilk and a fuel filter change , but I cant seem to find out anywhere what carb model or fuel filters are needed for it

am I being thick ( yeah I understand thats likely ) or dont these things actually exist
Haynes to a engine manual but thats totally useless and nothing like a car manual would be

thanks

Well go and look Et new filters run off 5G drum see if it runs like a dream , if he has had it maintained he would know what filters to get.

I can get numbers off the old ones , just surprised there is no way to identify from engine and boat information

ive got a ships registration document , do I have to display the boats number anywhere ? thank s

There is no requirement to register a boat in the UK, nor to show any number. However if it is already registered (probably on the Small Ships Register) you will have to re-register it in your name, but you only need to do this if you are taking the boat out of UK territorial waters.
